 I am an active adult living in an active adult community.  I started my own book club where everyone reads their own books and then discusses them.  This way we get to learn about books we may want to read in the future.  I usually have 3 or 4 books going at a time but usually only finish one a week.  Though it depends on the genre, I will finish a mystery in one sitting.

I've been a community activist for the last 5 years and have just finished off my last project at a County hearing recently.  We have a water utility who was supplying us with black, stinky, water, and we won the right to force them to install an anion exchange system to clean it up.  I was also on a Scenic County committee instrumental in getting several ordinances passed to beautify or area. 

I'm a rock and gem collector and like to make beaded jewelry.  I hope to use some of my new found time to learn more about seed bead weaving.  I'm an animal lover (who isn't) but have no pets of my own at this time.  After our last one died, my DH and I decided to get some travel out of our systems before we get another pet.  I get my fix though by baby sitting my neighbors pets in my home when they're out of town.
